Margaret Frances Schmitt-Pipkin, 72, died peacefully in her sleep April 9, 2022, and entered eternal life as promised in John 3:16 — the words of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born March 23, 1950, in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Walter and Frances Schmitt. Daughter, sister, friend.
She was survived by brother, Carlan Schmitt Sr., St. Paul, Minnesota, and one sister-in-law, Jane Schmitt, Arlington, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Bill Schmitt, St. Paul, Minnesota, Sheldon Schmitt, Arlington, Texas, Mike Schmitt, Sacramento, California, Gary Schmitt, Twisp, Washington.
Margaret graduated from Hogan Senior High School, Vallejo, California, class of 1968. And although she did not accomplish her goal of working for the FBI, she did end up working in several government offices through the years, developing her skills, and graduated from Portland Community College June 14, 1970.
On Oct. 1, 1993, she followed the Lord in Believers’ Baptism at Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a lifetime member.
Margaret seldom got relief from the pain of Lupus; and it affected her daily life. However this debilitating disease did not stop her from being a thoughtful, caring and fun-loving friend.
