Toby Cash Pennock, 47, of Twisp, Washington, passed away on March 14 in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, while on vacation with his family. Toby was born on July 10, 1974, attended Liberty Bell High School, and lived in the Methow Valley all his life.
Toby and his wife, Tammy, raised two beautiful children, Ashley and Jake, over the course of 30 years here in the valley, a community he cared for deeply. He was a hard worker — devoted to his family, he took pride in teaching his children valuable lessons in work ethic and the importance of loving and cherishing relationships. He loved to spend time with family and friends outdoors, taking jeep rides, working on projects in his shop, dirt biking, and snowmobiling.
Toby owned and operated an excavation company, Pennock Excavation, in the valley. He worked in excavation most of his life and treasured building the company up with his son for the last five years.
Toby was preceded in death by his grandparents LeRoy and Ardis Pennock, Jess Lorenzen, and Dolores Libby. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Pennock, children Ashley Wood (Brett) and Jacob Pennock (Sophia), new grandson Calvin Wood, sister Jeri Sinclair, parents Karen and Richard Lundgren, father Terry Pennock, and an abundance of friends. We will miss him more than words can say.
The Pennock family would like to invite you to attend a celebration of life service and potluck in his honor at 1p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at the Red Barn in Winthrop. We invite you to come share food and your happiest memories of Toby.
