Methow resident dies in car accident

A 75-year-old Methow resident, Keith W. Hole, died in a one-car accident on Highway 97 on Thursday (March 17), according to the Washington State Patrol.

Hole was driving northbound near milepost 227 in Douglas County, about 25 miles south of Pateros, at about 7:38 a.m. when his car left the roadway to the right and struck a large rock, according to the State Patrol report. He was deceased at the scene, the State Patrol said. Hole was wearing a seatbelt, according to the report. There were no passengers in the car.

The State Patrol said the cause of the accident remains under investigation. No drugs or alcohol were involved, the report said.
