Carla Caughell

Carla Ann (Peterson) Caughell passed away peacefully  on Feb. 22, 2022, after a year-and-a-half long battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Caughell, parents Larry and Ann Peterson, and brother Chuck Peterson. She is survived by her sons Isaac and Adam of Salem, Oregon, sister Christine Mayfield of Wauna, Washington, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends that she considered family.

She was born June 20, 1955, in Seattle, attended Ballard High School, and graduated class of 1973.

Carla worked as a para-educator in the Shoreline School District until 1996, when she moved to Twisp. She continued her career as a para-educator in the Methow Valley School District until her retirement in 2020. She enjoyed music, warm weather, loved her animals and gardening.

A celebration of life for Bob and Carla will be held from 3-7 p.m. on March 26 at the Winthrop Barn, 51 State Route 20, Winthrop.
