The Bitterroot Beets performed on the shore of Patterson lake last summer. The lakeside concert will return this year.
After a two-year COVID break, the Methow Arts Fest is scheduled to take place this year on Monday, July 4, at Twisp River Park.
The day-long event will include music and other performances, food vendors, hands-on arts booths, a pie-eating contest, beer garden and more.
This year the event will have a superhero theme, and costumes are encouraged.

Methow Arts also plans to bring back its boat-in concert, which took place for the first time last year at Patterson Lake.
The concert was created last summer as a way to allow for an event while naturally enforcing social distancing — since people were on their own paddleboards, pool floaties or canoes, they weren’t crowded close together like in a traditional concert.
The event is scheduled to come back this year on June 23 again on Patterson Lake, with the stage located at Sun Mountain’s Patterson Lake Cabins. The shore is designated for performers, Sun Mountain guests and staff only, while spectators can float close to shore after launching from the Patterson Lake boat launch.
