Free tax prep help
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is taking appointments for its free tax preparation and e-filing services in Okanogan County. Because of COVID precautions, traditional face-to-face preparation with a Tax-Aide counselor is being replaced with a low-contact approach.
Appointments for taxpayers living in Okanogan County can be requested by calling (508) 603-9614 and leaving a voicemail. Appointments can be made for either Omak or Tonasket sites. Assistance may also be requested through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide website www.aarpfoundation.org/taxaide. The service will be offered through April 15. Tax-Aide is an all-volunteer organization whose tax counselors are trained and certified by the IRS.
