Liberty Bell Knowledge Bowl takes first at Omak meet

February 9, 2022 by Methow Valley News

In a competition against nine other schools on Jan. 31 in Omak, Liberty Bell High School’s Knowledge Bowl team took first place with 53 points, dominating second-place Okanogan, with 35 points, and third-place Manson with 33.

Liberty Bell brought three teams to the competition. Their No. 1 team took overall first place, the No. 3 team took ninth place and the No. 2 team finished the competition in 10th place.

The second and third teams were disadvantaged by only having three members each, rather than the normal four, but it gave them all the opportunity to participate, coach Leverett Hubbard said.

This week the team traveled to Wenatchee to compete against schools including Moses Lake and Wenatchee High School.
