January 5, 2022 by Methow Valley News

Paul V. Christopherson

Paul V. Christopherson passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 26, 2021, with his wife, Deb, by his side. Paul was born on May 14, 1953, to Ralph and Paula (Esau) Christopherson. He was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; their beloved daughter, Rozlyn; his mother, Paula Christopherson; his three brothers: Timothy, Peter and Charles Christopherson (Tara Sweeney); his two sisters: Marcia Christopherson and Amy Loomis (Shane). Paul is also survived by his three nephews: Nathan Christopherson (Siri Knutson), Joseph Christopherson and Grady Christopherson; his great-niece, Maria Christopherson and his great-nephew, Per Christopherson.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Christopherson; his brother, Mark Christopherson and his sister, Susan Christopherson. Paul attended Holy Childhood Catholic School through eighth grade and graduated from Murray High School. He was in the U.S. Air-Force from 1972-75. Paul earned his undergraduate degree in dietetics and a master’s degree in school psychology. Paul married Deb, his soulmate, in June of 1992 and they moved to Washington state and settled in the Methow Valley, and the last few years in Okanogan.

Paul worked in the Okanogan School District for many years as well as the Methow. He treated people with respect and was always an advocate for people that needed it the most! Paul will be remembered most by his great sense of humor, as he loved to make people laugh! Paul enjoyed golfing, fishing, barbequing, hiking, camping, swimming and working on projects, but most of all spending time with his family and friends, while listening to music! A celebration of his life will be planned in the spring.
