Hit the ice on Thanksgiving Day
Looking to work off a few calories on Thanksgiving Day? The Winthrop Rink will be open for two skating sessions on Thursday (Nov. 25), from noon-1:45 p.m. and from 2-4 p.m.
Open skating sessions will be available at the rink throughout the holiday weekend, but the facility is also hosting a U18 hockey tournament. Games for that event will be played Friday through Sunday, with early starts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Games will end at about 11 p.m. Friday, so expect the lights to be on at the rink.
The rink will also host hockey tournaments on Dec. 3-5, and Dec. 10-12.
Over the holidays, there will be open skating sessions on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Join the cycling team
Are you interested in becoming part of the Methow Cycling Team? Or perhaps becoming a coach?
Team organizers are hosting a meeting on Dec. 6, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Liberty Bell High School cafeteria, to discuss the 2022 cycling competition season and answer any questions.
The league that the team competes in is open to riders from sixth through 12th grades.
Liberty Bell has been selected as one of four venues statewide to host a full league race, on May 15, 2022. More than 500 riders, plus their coaches and families, are expected to visit the valley for that event.
