
On Nov. 20 and 21, Bernadine Phillips, Brandon Finley and Julie Ann Edwards taught students how to weave Columbia Plateau cylindrical baskets, also known as “sally bags,”’ at the Methow Valley Interpretive Center. The artists and indigenous culture teachers are descendants of the Methow, P’squosa (Wenatchi), Entiat, Chelan, Okanogan, Yakama, Cree and Iroquois tribes and bands.
