Okanogan County 2022 Budget
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners that a Public Hearing is scheduled, in accordance with RCW 84.55.120, on the revenue sources for the District’s following year’s Current Expense budget, including the consideration of possible increases in property tax revenues. The Public Hearing will be held on November 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in order to take public testimony on the County’s Current Expense & Public Works Road Fund Revenue budgets for the year 2022. The County’s Current Expense and Road Fund budgets are primarily funded by taxes and charges and reflect the provision of ongoing services. The Public Hearing will be held in the County Commissioners Hearing Room located at 123 5th Avenue North, Okanogan, WA 98840. Okanogan County Planning Commission
Notice is hereby given, that the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners is seeking resumes and letters of interest from qualified people to fill a vacant position on the Okanogan County Planning Commission. Applicants must live within County Commissioner District #2 i.e. Malott, Brewster, Pateros, Carlton, Twisp, or Winthrop areas.
Planning Commissions advise and provide recommendations to the planning department and local governing body for consideration; prepares and revises the county’s comprehensive plan and local land use regulations like zoning and subdivision codes for local government consideration; and reviews development proposals.

OKANOGAN COUNTY
NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF A SEPA DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT AND PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given under WAC 197-11-455 and WAC 197-11-510 that the Okanogan County Office of Planning and Community Development has issued a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (“DEIS”) which addresses environmental impacts of the proposed revisions to the 2014 Okanogan County Comprehensive Plan.
The DEIS describes the existing conditions and identifies probable significant environmental impacts, mitigation measures to mitigate these impacts, and any significant unavoidable adverse impacts from the proposal, in accordance with RCW 43.21C.031.
Proponent & Lead Agency: Okanogan County Planning Department
Proposal: The proposal is to complete an update of the County’s existing (2014) Comprehensive Plan pursuant to the Planning Enabling Act (Chapter 36.70 RCW). The primary objective of the 2021 Comprehensive Plan is to plan for the next 20 years of projected population growth in the County.
The County has developed the DEIS to examine a range of alternatives, including a no action alternative and three action alternatives that would revise the Comprehensive Plan. The topics studied under the DEIS include: growth, water resources, air, plants and animals, land use and housing, transportation, utilities, and recreation.
Location: All unincorporated lands of Okanogan County.
Agencies, affected tribes, and members of the public are invited to comment on the DEIS addendum and the revised comprehensive plan. The deadline for submitting comments is December 10, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. You may submit your comments in writing or electronically to: mallen@co.okanogan.wa.us or mailed or delivered to 123 5th Ave N. REVISED OKANOGAN COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Notice is hereby given that the Okanogan County Office of Planning and Community Development has released the Draft Comprehensive Plan for public comment. The Comprehensive Plan proposal has been prepared in accordance with RCW 36.70 Planning Enabling Act, RCW 36.70A Growth Management Act, and other applicable case law and requirements. The Comprehensive Plan contains policies that inform other land use regulation in all unincorporated areas of the county. The proposed revisions to the comprehensive plan consider the medium range of population increase prepared by the OFM which projects that the population will increase by 2891 people (revised) by the year 2040.
Agencies, affected tribes, and members of the public are invited to comment on the revised comprehensive plan. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
The Town of Winthrop Washington solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in civil and structural design for general engineering services. Engineering services may be used for grant application assistance; public works project design; trail design; biological assessment, environmental review, ESA consultation, and permitting assistance; review of development submittals of water, sewer, storm water, and road designs; structural engineering and assessments; construction inspection; water right examination, or similar engineering services. The Town of Winthrop reserves the right to retain the services of the selected Consultant(s) for subsequent phases of projects undertaken within the above scope of services.
Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, address, phone, and email addresses; Name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; sub-consultants (if any); the names and experience of employees that would work on the project, examples of successful projects of similar scope. Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: 1) Key personnel; 2) Firm experience with PS&E on similar projects; 3) Firm familiarity with the Town of Winthrop and immediate area; 4) Firm experience with environmental planning and permitting process; 5) Ability to meet schedule; 6) Approach to project; 7) Familiarity with relevant codes and standards; 8) Past performance/references; 9)
