NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners that the county’s 2022 preliminary budget has been prepared and filed by the county auditor, in accordance with RCW 36.40. The preliminary budget is available to the public upon request. In accordance with RCW 36.40.071, the Board has chosen to use the alternate date for its budget hearing for the purpose of fixing the final budget and making tax levies.
THEREFORE, pursuant to RCW 84.55.120, a Public Hearing is set by the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners on the Revenue Sources for the district’s following year’s current expense budget, which is primarily funded by taxes and charges and reflects the provision of ongoing services, including the consideration of possible increases in property tax revenues. The Public Hearing will be held on November 9, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. via Zoom in the County Commissioners Hearing Room located at 123 5th Avenue North, Okanogan, WA 98840. REVISED OKANOGAN COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Notice is hereby given that the Okanogan County Office of Planning and Community Development has released the Draft Comprehensive Plan for public comment. The Comprehensive Plan proposal has been prepared in accordance with RCW 36.70 Planning Enabling Act, RCW 36.70A Growth Management Act, and other applicable case law and requirements. The Comprehensive Plan contains policies that inform other land use regulation in all unincorporated areas of the county. The proposed revisions to the comprehensive plan consider the medium range of population increase prepared by the OFM which projects that the population will increase by 2891 people (revised) by the year 2040.
Agencies, affected tribes, and members of the public are invited to comment on the revised comprehensive plan. The deadline for submitting comments is November 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. You may submit your comments in writing or electronically to: mallen@co.okanogan.wa.us or mailed or delivered to 123 5th Ave N. A special meeting has been scheduled with the Okanogan County Regional Planning Commission to hold a public hearing to give interested parties the opportunity to provide verbal testimony. The public hearing will be conducted on November 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building in Okanogan Washington. Notice is hereby given, that the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners is seeking resumes and letters of interest from qualified people to fill a vacant position on the Okanogan County Planning Commission. Applicants must live within County Commissioner District #2 i.e. Malott, Brewster, Pateros, Carlton, Twisp, or Winthrop areas.
Planning Commissions advise and provide recommendations to the planning department and local governing body for consideration; prepares and revises the county’s comprehensive plan and local land use regulations like zoning and subdivision codes for local government consideration; and reviews development proposals.

METHOW VALLEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT
BUDGET MEETING
The Methow Valley Irrigation District’s Board of Directors will conduct the District’s annual budget meeting on Monday, November 8th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the basement of the Methow Valley Community Center in Twisp, Washington unless in-person public meetings are prohibited; a remote-access option will be included. If in-person meetings are prohibited, the meeting will be conducted using remote access technology. Remote meeting information will be posted at the meeting site and will be available from the district Secretary.
The purpose of the meeting is to approve a budget for 2022. The regular meeting of the MVID will immediately follow the budget meeting.
