The Whidbey Island Roostertails held their 23rd annual Pearrygin Lake Regatta, sanctioned by the National Boat Racing Association (NRBA), last Saturday and Sunday. “Probably the best weekend weatherwise we have ever spent here,” said Pearrygin Regatta Chair Rick Hermann. “It was perfect temperature, perfect water, everything has been great.” Twenty-nine drivers in multiple classes of outboard hydroplane, runabout and tunnel hull classes competed over the two-day regatta based in the west campground of the state park.
