Aero Methow conducts child seat check event at Hanks
On Friday (Sept. 24), Aero Methow Rescue Service personnel will check car seat safety and installation from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hanks Harvest Foods’ parking lot in Twisp.
The event will check if a car seat and its installation are safe. There is no cost.

Twisp Library’s My Story is back at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23. Gather for an afternoon of true stories told by your friends and neighbors. The event will take place outside behind the Methow Valley Community Center in the yard. Folding chairs will be available.
Hamilton Youth Foundation names Producers of Merit
The Hamilton Youth Foundation, which sponsors the Producer of Merit Program each year at the Okanogan Fair has released the names of the Producers of Merit youth producers.
They include Braizlyn Barnhart (steer), Brody Barnhart (steer), Court Darwood (swine) Lane Darwood (steer), Tyler Darwood (swine), Sam Patterson (swine), Helaina Remsberg (swine), Colton Stansbury (swine.)
Repair Cafés are back for fall
Methow Recycles’ Repair Cafés are back this fall, offering services including electrical and mechanical fixes, sewing, knife/tool sharpening and basic bicycle repair.
Items must be small enough to be carried, not leaking fluids and not hazardous in any way. Please bring parts needed to complete the repair. Attendees should wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
The next event is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 16 in the parking lot of The Cove in Twisp, across from the Twisp Post Office. Another event will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 20 at the same location.
