Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office
• At 3:14 p.m. on Aug. 3, a tree was reportedly hanging on a powerline near Twisp-Carlton Road and Sungate Lane in Twisp.
• At 8:57 p.m. on Aug. 4, an illegal burn pile was reported on Highway 153. A county-wide burn ban is in effect.
• At 4:06 p.m. on Aug. 5, a sexual assault was reported on Northcott Road in Winthrop.
• At 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 5, a burglary was reported on Upper Beaver Creek Road in Twisp. Power tools were reportedly taken from a cabin.
• At 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 7, a single-vehicle rollover was reported on Twisp-Carlton Road.
• At 1:23 p.m. on Aug. 8, a vehicle prowl was reported at Elbow Coulee Road and Twisp River Road. A log loader was broken into and a CB radio, yellow fire shirt, hard hat and fire shelter were stolen.
• At 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 8, trespassers were reported on Twisp-Winthrop Eastside Road.
• At 12:18 a.m. on Aug. 10, a trespasser was reported at the fire camp on Twin Lakes Road. A person reportedly tried to enter the site to siphon fuel from vehicles.
Twisp Police Department
• At 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 8, trespassers were reported at May Street and Florence Lane in Twisp.
• At 7:29 a.m. on Aug. 9, a vehicle prowl was reported on East Methow Valley Highway. A radio was taken.
• At 12:55 p.m. on Aug. 9, a theft was reported on East Methow Valley Highway in Twisp. Police issued a ticket to a suspect.
Winthrop Marshal’s Office
• At 1:06 p.m. on Aug. 4, a shoplifter was reported on Highway 20 in Winthrop.
• At 8:07 a.m. on Aug. 6, a burglary was reported on Star Flower Road in Winthrop. A person reported their garage was broken into while they were evacuated due to the fire. An ATV was taken.
