Intent to Lease
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners that they will meet at the County Courthouse located at 149 3rd Ave N, Okanogan, WA on Monday, August 9, 2021 between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. for the purpose of accepting applications for leasing county owned property. The property so designated and described for lease is the Hancock Building which is 1885 square foot professional office building located at 238 Oat Street Okanogan, WA 98840. The building has a reception area, several offices, kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a conference room. Any person desiring to lease county property shall make application in writing to the Board of County Commissioners and shall be accompanied by a deposit of not less than ten dollars either in the form of a certified check, certificate of deposit, or cash. No lease shall be made by the county except to the highest responsible bidder at the time of the hearing set forth in this notice of intention to lease. Bids will be received on a square foot basis at a minimum of $0.43 per square foot. Application to show bidder bonding and insurance requirements will be met. Lease term will be a minimum of 5-years and not more than 10-years. Any person may appear and state their objection in writing to the leasing of the property. The Board of Okanogan County Commissioners will meet on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. for the purpose of assigning the lease of the property.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing in the matter of the Okanogan County Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for the years 2022 through 2027 per R.C.W. 36.81.121 will be held in the Hearing Room of the Okanogan County Board of Commissioners at 123 Fifth Avenue North in Okanogan, Washington at 11:15 A.M. on August 10, 2021. The purpose of this hearing is to discuss County Road construction projects only. Road Maintenance issues will not be addressed at this hearing.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a public hearing will be held on August 10, 2021 at 11:00 A.M., in the Okanogan County Commissioners hearing room, located at 123 5th Ave North, Room 150, Okanogan Washington regarding an application for a 50-year franchise by Chesaw Water Users Association, to construct, operate, and maintain a domestic water line.
Franchise is located within the county right-of-way of the roads listed below all within Okanogan County:
Beginning at the point of intersection on Northwest corner of Section 28, Township 40 N., Range 30 E., W.M.; thence North to the SW ¼, of SW ¼ of Section 21, Township 40N., Range 30E., W.M. All within the southern half of the Plat of the Town of Chesaw, Washington as recorded in the Okanogan County Auditor’s Office; thence NW across Block 14 to OCR 9480, Chesaw Road within the said Plat of the Town of Chesaw, Washington, crossing OCR 9480, Chesaw Road, then running west to an unnamed alley, thence running north within Block 12 through said unnamed alley north, to and crossing Hill Street, through Block 13 and Block 21 of said unnamed alley, terminating at OCR 4878, Byers Road, within the Plat of the Town of Chesaw, Washington. Thence north of Block 14 into Block 15, in an unnamed alley to Court Street thence west to OCR 9480, Chesaw Road thence north on OCR 9480, Chesaw Road and parallel west and east sides of said OCR 9480, Chesaw Road crossing at this point OCR 9480, Chesaw Road ±200 feet north of Court Street, thence N to a point of intersection with OCR 4878, Byers Road, terminating at this point. All within the Plat of the Town of Chesaw, Washington recorded in the Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, contained within Section 28 & 21, Township 40 N., Range 30 E., W.M.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Okanogan County is seeking Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from Consultants who can provide a Feasibility Study to determine if a fire hall and community training center would be feasible for the Loomis Fire district. In June of 2021 we were awarded a USDA grant to conduct the study.

Lawson Bridge Replacement Shoreline Exemption SE 2021-5
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A Joint Aquatic Resource Permit Application (JARPA) has been submitted by Judy Lawson. Okanogan County Planning has determined that this project is exempt from requirements for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit per Okanogan County Shoreline Master Program 14.15.510(B)(2).
Judy Lawson proposes to replace an existing bridge over Salmon Creek. The existing bridge is unsafe and provides the sole point of access the residence. The work will include replacing eroded concrete rip rap and footings on both sides of the creek with countersunk tiered ecology blocks. With grouted dowels, steel straps, filling in behind them with large boulders, rip rap and shale. This would include side walls that would support the soil at the four corners of the abutments.

The project is located on parcels 3425240006 approximately 5 miles northerly of the Town of Okanogan, WA, Section 24, Township 34 N., Range 25 E. Willamette Meridian.
