June 9, 2021 by Methow Valley News

William Lindsey

William (Bill) J. Lindsey, 75, of Winthrop, died peacefully in his sleep on June 1, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Janet.

Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he attended Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in biochemistry. Bill moved West where he worked as a researcher in the anatomy department at the University of California San Francisco. He met Janet and they moved to the Methow Valley in 1980, where they married and built their home in Wolf Creek. Bill started Winthrop Pump in 1983, which he ran until he retired in 2018.

Bill loved his dogs and was an avid horseman, spending much of his free time riding the trails of the Methow.
