WVC may offer in-person classes

Wenatchee Valley College announced that though most of its classes will remain online and remote for its fall 2021 quarter, there are plans to offer more classes in-person.

Classes will be offered in a variety of formats, including in-person, hybrid, online, and optional (in-person and/or online). Any classes with in-person components will follow any health and safety guidelines set forth by national, state and local health agencies, the college said in a press release. As of now, unless required to do so by the state, the college will not require vaccinations for students or employees in fall.

Health and well-being grants

Confluence Health and the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group (WVMG) have teamed up to launch the Community Partnership Fund, a program focused on advancing local initiatives that contribute to the health and well-being of communities they serve. The Community Partnership Fund will be managed by the Community Foundation of NCW and plans to award $500,000 each year.

This grant is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations (or fiscally sponsored), public schools, and public agencies in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Grant counties. Grants will be made to support programs that promote health and wellness, education, and arts and culture.

The grant application opens June 1, with a deadline of June 30. Grant awards may range between $2,500 and $15,000 and will be announced in early August. For more information and to apply, visit www.cfncw.org/communitypartnershipfund.
