Town of Twisp (Owner) is requesting Bids for construction of the Twisp Ave. Watermain and Collection System Improvements project. Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Twisp, Washington (Owner) at the Town Hall, 110 E. 2nd Ave, until 1:00PM, Thursday, May 13, 2021 local time. At that time the Bids will be opened and read aloud virtually via the following link:

The Project includes construction of the Twisp Ave. Watermain and Collection System Improvements. Major elements of work generally include:
The work generally consists of installing approximately 1,500LF of 8” water main, including valves and fire hydrants, and service replacements. Also included is installation of approximately 1,100LF of 8” sanitary sewer pipe including services and approximately 300LF of sanitary sewer CIPP liner installation, and roadway restoration.

Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. To Bid the project, Bidder shall be on the Plan Holders List. A full set of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be purchased at the office of Varela Engineering & Management, 601 W. Mallon Ave., Suite A, Spokane, WA 99201, here after referred to as the Issuing Agent, for $30.00 per set (non-refundable, see address prior). The Town of Twisp reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgement, accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents.

American Iron and Steel
Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.

Notice of Decision
April 15, 2021
The Town of Twisp Board of Adjustment made the decision on April 15, 2021 to approve the Variance request by Sandy Liman, Twisp, Washington, for a variance from the front yard setback requirements within the R-1 zoning district in order to add a 14’ x 28’ addition to an existing garage. The proposed variance for Parcel No. 3322070197 located at 109 Ainsworth, is required by 18.50.090 of the Twisp Municipal Code. The garage for which the variance is approved is located on the southern side of Ainsworth in the Town of Twisp, within Section 7, Township 33 N., Range 22 E.W.M.
Parties of record may appeal this decision to the Town Council by submitting a written appeal to the Town Clerk no later than 5:00 pm on May 26, 2021.

WINTHROP MOUNTAIN SPORTS LTD, a Washington Corporation, and GOAT PEAK L.L.C., a Washington limited liability corporation, are dissolving and will immediately cease doing business. WINTHROP MOUNTAIN SPORTS LTD is the prior owner of the retail store known as Winthrop Mountain Sports in Winthrop, Washington. Any person having a claim against the either corporation must file a written notice no later than September 5, 2021, in compliance with RCW 24B.14.030 and 23B.14.060. The claim or contract on which the claim is based may be rejected, in which case the claimant will have ninety days from the date of rejection to commence a proceeding to collect. The notice of claim must be presented by serving on or mailing the corporations’ attorney at the address listed below. If the claim is not presented within this time frame, the claim is forever barred. This bar is effective as to claims against both the corporations and the corporations’ owners.
