The Okanogan County Fire District 6 commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, April 20th starting at 7:00 pm. The Special Meeting is to discuss the new District fire station.
The Meeting location is District No. 6 training/conference room, Twisp Fire Hall. Due to COVID restrictions public attendance will not be allowed. For the public, there will be meeting call-in instructions on the District’s website www.okanogancountyfd6.com.

Town of Twisp (Owner) is requesting Bids for construction of the Twisp Ave. Watermain and Collection System Improvements project. Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Twisp, Washington (Owner) at the Town Hall, 110 E. 2nd Ave, until 1:00PM, Thursday, May 13, 2021 local time. A bid summary will be issued after opening, emailed to all bidders and posted on the Varela website.
The Project includes construction of the Twisp Ave. Watermain and Collection System Improvements. Major elements of work generally include:
The work generally consists of installing approximately 1,500LF of 8” water main, including valves and fire hydrants, and service replacements. Also included is installation of approximately 1,100LF of 8” sanitary sewer pipe including services and approximately 300LF of sanitary sewer CIPP liner installation, and roadway restoration.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. To Bid the project, Bidder shall be on the Plan Holders List. A full set of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be purchased at the office of Varela Engineering & Management, 601 W. Mallon Ave., Suite A, Spokane, WA 99201, here after referred to as the Issuing Agent, for $30.00 per set (non-refundable, see address prior). The Town of Twisp reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgement, accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents.

American Iron and Steel
Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
