Bear Creek Golf Course is open for the season, under new management by brothers Rick and Bart Northcott.
The Men’s Club at Bear Creek Golf Course opened the 2021 summer season last Wednesday evening (April 14) with a four-person scramble on the links. The team of Brad King, Kyle Larson, Sandy Mackie, Ash Court and Bennet Upper carded a 4-under-par 32 to win the first event of the young season.
Closest-to-the-pin winner on the 112-yard, par 3 second hole went to Rick Lewis, who dropped his tee shot 4 feet from the hole.
The Men’s Club meets every Wednesday through September at 5 p.m. at the course’s clubhouse, and plays a different game, usually in a team format, each week.
New members are welcome to join the mid-week activities. Dues for the year are $65, which include handicapping through the PNW Golf Association, local club activities like Wednesday Evening Men’s Club events, occasional potluck barbeques and an annual members’ match play tournament.
Golf course green fees, rentals and other fees are not included in the Men’s Club dues. Contact Bear Creek Golf Course at 996-2284 for details, or show up next Wednesday night.
