Help with past due rent, utilities
The Okanogan County Community Action Council is offering assistance for county residents behind on rent, utilities or related expenses.

Funding is available to help prevent loss of housing, past due rent or shut offs due to overdue payments on electric, water, sewer or garbage utilities.
Highway 20 road work
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has started a project to crack seal 15 miles of Highway 20 between Winthrop and the Early Winters campground. The project will be from milepost 177 to milepost 192, WSDOT said. The work schedule will be from Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists can expect flagger-controlled traffic with delays.
Twisp PDA meeting

Classroom in Bloom plant sale
Classroom in Bloom will again be conducting its spring plant sale this year from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on May 15. Preview vegetable and flower starts for purchase, some seeds and Classroom in Bloom gear. TranGO conducting survey about services
TranGO, the county’s public transportation system, is conducting an online survey through April to gather information from the public about transportation needs, in order to evaluate existing service and prioritize schedules and routes over the next five years. The survey can be accessed at http://okanogantransit.com/survey. If you don’t have access to the internet call (509) 429‑5823, to provide answers over the phone or to request a paper copy with return postage provided.
