The Methow Valley School District announced that, effective immediately, students are no longer required to purchase ASB cards in order to participate in district-sponsored activities and athletic programs.
Michael Wilbur, the school district’s activities director, also said that spectators will no longer be charged to view athletic contests hosted by Liberty Bell High School.
Wilbur said the actions were taken in part to help eliminate economic barriers that many students, families and community members are dealing with.
“We hope this allows everyone in our community the opportunity to enjoy participating in and supporting Liberty Bell activities and athletic programs without experiencing undue financial hardship,” Wilbur said in a memo to students and parents.
