Operation of The Cove’s Guardian Angels program will be transferred to Methow At Home, as of this week.
The Guardian Angel program began in 2000 to connect people needing companionship and a helping hand provided by a dedicated volunteer. Eunice Marchbank oversaw the program until 2019.
“Due to Eunice’s retirement and the constrictions of COVID-19, The Cove realized that Methow At Home might be a good fit to adopt the Guardian Angels program,” Methow At Home Executive Director Tracy Sprauer said in a press release. “Through assuming the role of Guardian Angels program administrator, Methow At Home will benefit by assimilating the 20 years of Guardian Angels’ expertise in facilitating long-term, one-on-one relationships with their clients.”
Methow At Home has for the past five years been training volunteers and tending to the needs of its 245 senior members.
The Advisory Board of the Guardian Angels will remain active with Methow At Home staff during the transition, according to the press release.
