‘Tis the season for online auctions to support worthy local causes. Here’s an update on the virtual fundraisers that are currently underway:
Kiwanis ‘Bite’ donations
Winthrop Kiwanis has launched an online auction of items that were donated for the organization’s annual “Bite of the Methow,” which was canceled earlier this year because of coronavirus restrictions.
The March event is the biggest fundraiser for Kiwanis, which uses the proceeds to support a variety of community projects. The online auction continues through 10 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 13). Kiwanis will work with successful bidders and coordinate local delivery, pickup, or pay the cost of shipping. The auction, which offers 32 items, is a trial run for Kiwanis. The organization plans another online auction in March.
