There is still time to sign up for the annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors holiday food basket program, organized by The Cove in Twisp. Neighbors Helping Neighbors assures that food baskets, with all the fixings, are delivered to families prior to Christmas.
All registration is being done either electronically or by hard copy, mailed-in format. Forms are available through the Methow Valley School District, at regular Cove Food Bank hours (Thursdays, 1-4 p.m.), through Room One and on The Cove’s website at http://www.thecovecares.com. The registration deadline for holiday food baskets is Dec. 11. Food baskets will be delivered on Dec. 19.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors will not conduct a food drive this year because of coronavirus safety considerations.
Signup deadline for the Manger Mall has passed. For those interested in donating a gift, new, unwrapped gifts can be delivered to the Mazama Store, Ulrich’s Pharmacy, North Cascades National Bank, Mick & Miki’s Red Cedar Bar, Trail’s End Bookstore, Winthrop Store and Winthrop Physical Therapy & Fitness through Dec. 1. Trail’s End Bookstore will once again be offering a 10% discount on books purchased for the Manger Mall.
