Second-half Okanogan County property taxes and irrigation assessments are due — and must be postmarked by — Monday (Nov. 2), since Oct. 31 falls on a weekend. Interest and penalties start accruing Tuesday (Nov. 3) for any unpaid taxes.
Mail your taxes or assessments to Okanogan County Treasurer, P.O. Box 111, Okanogan, WA 98840.
You can also pay by credit card, either online or over the phone.
To pay online, go to http://www.okanogancounty.org/Treasurer. Click on the link that says “Click Here for Payment Options” above the credit-card icons. It will take you to the county assessor’s Taxsifter page.
Enter your name or parcel number, select the property, and click the box at the top of the page for “Treasurer.” Scroll down to “Balances Due” and click the empty box at the far right for the bill you want to pay. Then click “Add Selected to Cart” beneath that. Once you have added all the statements you want to pay, click the box with the total payment amount. That will take you to the third-party website where you enter your credit card information and complete the transaction.
You can also pay by credit card by calling 1-877-737-4772. For customer service, call 1-888-891-6064 and choose option 1.
Credit card payments include a 2.5% service fee on the amount of tax being paid. Credit and debit card payments cannot be accepted at the counter in the treasurer’s office.
