Staff from the Okanogan County Auditor’s Office are collecting ballots from official drop boxes around the county and will continue collections through the Nov. 3 General Election.
In the Methow Valley, there are drop boxes in front of Twisp Town Hall and at the Winthrop Barn. Ballots can be placed in a secure ballot drop box before 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.
If you expected to receive a ballot and did not, contact the Okanogan County Auditor’s Office at (509) 422-7240. Completed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3, if they are mailed. Ballot envelopes are prepaid, so no postage is necessary. All returned ballots must be signed.
Other drop box locations in Okanogan County are:
• Tonasket – City Hall/Library Complex, 209 S. Whitcomb Ave.
• Omak – next to the police station, 8 N. Ash.
• Omak – 12 Tribes Casino parking lot.
• Pateros –180 Pateros Mall in the parking lot.
• Coulee Dam – City Hall, 300 Lincoln Ave.
• Oroville – police station.
The Auditors Office, at 149 Third Ave. N. in Okanogan, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and until 8 p.m. on Election Day. Oct. 26 was the deadline for receiving new voter registrations online or in the mail. If you are not currently registered in Washington, you can appear in person in the Auditor’s Office until Nov. 3, register and be able to vote in the general election.
