Ellen Nora Brown was born Oct. 12, 1935, in Leavenworth, Washington. Ellen lost her 25-year battle with Parkinson’s disease Oct. 11, 2020, one day before her 85th Birthday. Ellen and her husband, Ken, lived and worked in western Washington for 30 years. After their retirement, they moved to the Methow in the Mazama area. After 19 years in Mazama, they moved back to western Washington to be closer to family and medical facilities. She spoke frequently of missing the Methow. The valley reminded her of her hometown of Leavenworth. She loved the snow, her book club friends, exercising with skis or afoot, usually with Marlene Ford. Her favorite times were when grandkids came to visit. She is survived by her husband, two sons, two daughters-in-law, five grandkids and five greats-grandkids (another on the way next year). The circle continues.
