New location for The Cove’s Food Bank

October 14, 2020 by Methow Valley News

The Cove will move its Food Bank to a new location a few blocks away, in the old Riverbank building at the corner of Third Avenue and Glover Street, beginning on Oct. 22.

Also new also will be an available drive-through service at the back of the building. Clients will enter the parking lot from Glover, turn left at the back of the building and stop at the back door, where staff will deliver food directly to the client.

Walk-in service is still available through the front of the building – socially distanced, with masks, please.

“We’re going from one of the smallest spaces on Glover Street to one of the larger spaces,” Cove Executive Director Glenn Schmekel said. “The new building will house the Food bank, administrative office space, a lobby, kitchen, and lots of storage.”

The Food Bank is open every Thursday, from 1-4 p.m., for pick up and donations.
