NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Kyle Rogers, 245 Waring St, Winthrop, WA 98862 has submitted application for a zoning variance, under Winthrop Municipal Code (WMC) Section 17.36.040 and Title 19. The request would reduce the front and side yard setbacks to 2’ to facilitate construction of a garage and house at 241 Waring Street in the Town of Winthrop. The property is located in the R-2 zoning district. The site is constrained by the presence of a steep slope and possible wetlands on the western half of the property.
Public Hearing: The Town Council will hold an open record hearing on the application on October 21, 2020 at 7:05 pm, via Zoom. Anyone interested in attending may contact Clerk Michelle Gaines at winthropclerk@townofwinthrop.com for the zoom meeting link. The hearing will be conducted in accord with WMC Chapter 19.10. Any person desiring to present written or oral testimony may do so at the hearing, and by doing so shall have standing as a party of record. Any person requiring assistance to access the hearing is urged to contact Town Hall at least 24 hours in advance.
Information available: Persons wishing to view project information or receive a notice on the action taken on the application may contact Winthrop Town Hall, 206 Riverside Ave. between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. Pursuant to WMC 19.06.040, a staff report will be available seven days prior to the public hearing.
Comments: Written comments may be submitted in advance of the public hearing and are due by 4 PM on October 9, 2020. Comments will be entered into the record and considered in the staff report. NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 733
(TOWN OF WINTHROP, WASHINGTON)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Winthrop has adopted its Ordinance No. 733, which in summary, amends section 13.04.090 of the Winthrop Municipal Code to prohibit the sale, transfer, assignment, gifting or resale of water from the Town water system and to add a new chapter 13.25 entitled “Groundwater Well Drilling”.
Said ordinance may be examined at the Winthrop Town Hall during regular business hours or a copy will be mailed upon request.
This notice is given by order of the Town Council and pursuant to R.C.W. 35.27.300.
