The Okanogan County Fair has provided information on how to become a bidder at this year’s online livestock auction, scheduled for Sept. 7-10.
The auction is “virtual” this year because the fair was canceled in response to coronavirus concerns.
“We are excited to be able to offer this option to the kids who have worked so hard,” Fairground Events Coordinator Naomie Peasley said in a press release.
To register as a bidder, go to http://www.bestbidonlineauctions.com, locate the Okanogan County fair Market Sale Auction, and click on “register.” Log in beginning Sept. 7 to begin bidding.
Registration is required before the sale begins. Invoices will be sent on Sept. 11.
More than 124 beef, swine and lambs, all raised in Okanogan County, will be offered at the auction. Animals will presented via videos provided by the sellers, and will be judged using the videos. Offered animals will be sold by the head, not by the pound. Exhibitors’ information will be available on the bidding website.
