If you are 60 years or older and live in Okanogan, Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant, or Lincoln counties, you may qualify for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
Aging & Adult Care of Central Washington distributes vouchers that can be used to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables, and honey at participating farmers’ markets and roadside stands. The vouchers are worth $40, and can be used between June 1 and Oct. 31.
To qualify, household income must be at or below 185% of poverty level.
Voucher distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis. The vouchers will be distributed by mail only. To apply, visit www.aaccw.org to print out an application.
