2020 Coverstone Supply Bid
Sealed Bids, plainly marked “Bid For 2020 Coverstone Supply”, will be received by Okanogan County at the Office of the Board of County Commissioners located in the Grainger Administrative Building, 123 5th Avenue N, Room 150, Okanogan, Washington 98840, until 11:00AM, April 14, 2020 at which time they will be opened and publicly read.
The project generally consists of the supply and delivery of 1/2” special crushed coverstone to the Winthrop shop for the 2020 chipseal season.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Multiple contract awards may be made to guarantee the availability of bulk asphalt products at the lowest available prices.

Inspections Have Begun
The Okanogan County Noxious Weed Control Board has begun inspections of properties for control of noxious weed species designated or selected as enforcement species. Landowners with any of these species present on their property shall be required to control the noxious weeds according to provisions outlined in Chapter 17.10 RCW.
INSPECTIONS SHALL TAKE PLACE FOR THE SPECIES DESIGNATED FOR CONTROL BY THE WASHINGTON STATE NOXIOUS WEED CONTROL BOARD and THE OKANOGAN COUNTY NOXIOUS WEED CONTROL BOARD; a list is available in our office. All State, Federal and private landowners will be notified of noxious weeds present and classified as enforceable and control will be required.
This notice is published according to Board policy to notify landowners in our County that OCNWCB may enter their property according to the provisions outlined in 17.10.160 RCW, and that this notice shall serve as “Reasonable Attempt” as defined according to the aforementioned RCW. CALL FOR BIDS – OFFICIAL COUNTY NEWSPAPER
(REPOST)
The Board of Okanogan County Commissioners intends to contract with a qualified legal newspaper, in accordance with RCW 65.16.020, to serve as the official newspaper for publishing all of Okanogan County’s legal notices for one year beginning July 1, 2020. Qualified proponents are invited to submit bids for serving as Okanogan County’s official county newspaper within which the newspaper is generally circulated.
Responsive Bids shall be submitted no later than Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at 10:40 a.m. to the County Commissioners’ Office located at 123 5th Avenue North, Room 150, Okanogan, Washington, where the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and recorded into the commission’s proceedings.
As provided for in RCW 36.72.075 and subject to the specifications in this invitation to bid, the Board of County Commissioners shall award the bid to the best and lowest responsible bidder. The Award of the contract will be considered by the Board of Commissioners at a Public Meeting held on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 10:45 a.m. in the commissioners’ hearing room. It is the Board’s intent to award the contract to the winning bidder at that time.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the name and address of the bidder and the words “BID FOR OFFICIAL COUNTY NEWSPAPER” as applicable, on the outside of the envelope. Bids that are submitted timely and properly will be opened and read aloud at the Public Meeting. Any bid received after that time shall be null and void and shall be returned unopened to the bidder.

TOWN OF WINTHROP
NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Friends of the Winthrop Library, P.O. Box 592, Winthrop, WA, 98862 has submitted a type IV westernization application, for projects exceeding $200,000.00 in value, for construction of a new public library under Winthrop Municipal Code (WMC) Chapters 15.08 and 19.04. The subject property is located on White Avenue, adjacent to Little Star School, on the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 2, Township 34 North, Range 21 East, W.M. and portion of Lots 1 and 2 of the Amherst Square Short Plat, as per plat recorded in Volume A-1 of Short Plats, pages 123 and 124 under Auditor’s No. 754034 records of the Auditor of Okanogan County, Washington.
The Winthrop Town Council will hold a public hearing on said application, pursuant to WMC Chapter 19.10 at 7:05 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in the back meeting room of the Winthrop Auditorium, 51 Highway 20, also known as the Hen House. Any person may appear and provide testimony at said time and place and by doing so shall have a standing as a party of record. Written comments must be received by the time of hearing in order to be considered in the record. All persons requiring assistance in accessing the Winthrop Auditorium are requested to contact Town Hall at 996-2320 at least one day prior to the hearing.
The application and all documents are on file and can be inspected at Winthrop Town Hall, 206 Riverside Avenue, Winthrop, WA, 98862, during regular business hours. A copy of the staff report will be available for inspection and purchase at least seven days prior to the hearing.
