NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING/WORKSHOP
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Town of Twisp Planning Commission will hold a Public Meeting/Workshop at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Twisp Town Hall at 118 S. Glover. The purpose of the meeting/workshop is to solicit input from citizens, staff, Town Council members on issues related to the Town’s Comprehensive Plan and implementing regulations (e.g. Zoning, Subdivision, etc..). To date, the Commission, with input from staff and Council, has identified the following items for consideration as they put together a “docket” of amendments for inclusion on the 2020 workplan: Administrative Procedures Code; Sign Code; Comprehensive Plan Update most of the plan has not been reviewed and updated since 2011; and, Nightly Rentals.
Persons requiring assistance in accessing Town Hall or need other assistance are requested to contact Town Hall at 997-4081 prior to the hearing.

Franchise is located within the county right-of-way of all Okanogan County beginning at MP ± 0.390 on OCR 2800, Copple Road and traveling east to MP ± 0.650.
Members of the public may comment on this proposal. All written comments must be received prior to the start of the public hearing in order to be entered into the record. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY THE OKANOGAN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that a public hearing is scheduled to consider Senate House Bill 1406 which is a local state-shared tax for affordable and supportive housing. The bill allows local jurisdictions to collect a local state-shared sales and use tax to fund affordable or supportive housing. The consumer does not pay the tax, and the effective sales tax rate remains the same. Instead the tax is credited against the 6.5% state sales tax.
The Okanogan County Board of County Commissioners has scheduled a Public Hearing on Monday, February 10, 2020 to consider an ordinance authorizing legislation to authorize the tax.
The purpose of the public meeting is to take public comment for or against the proposed legislation. Notice of Application and Threshold SEPA Determination
CUP 2020-1 Go Green Okanogan Recycling
Notice is hereby given that an application has been submitted by Green Okanogan to permit a recycling collection center in accordance with Okanogan County Code 17A.220.010. The CUP, if approved, would allow a 2.13-acre parcel with existing buildings and two new structures 420 square feet and 1600 square feet to be used for collection of non-hazardous recyclable materials such as plastic, aluminum cans, tin cans, cardboard and other paper products as well as E-cycle items. The recyclable products will be sorted, compressed and /or packaged for transport to recycling processing centers. Water will be from a well that was put into beneficial use in the 1960’s. The recycling center will operate year-round three days a week from 10am to 4pm. The site is located at 3 Rodeo Rd. near Tonasket WA on tax parcel number 8837600200. The SEPA Responsible Official has issued a Threshold Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) on this proposal in accordance with WAC 197-11-350. SEPA comments regarding this threshold determination may be submitted in writing by 5:00 pm February 20, 2020. The public hearing for this project has not yet been set. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Okanogan County invites contractors interested in doing business with Okanogan County to submit an application to be included on the Small Works Roster (SWR). The SWR is used for public works projects under Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000) as provided for in RCW 39.04.155. Interested Contractors must contact Okanogan County Department of Public Works either at 1234 A Second Avenue South, Okanogan, WA 98840, by phone at 509-422-7333, by email at sstidman@co.okanogan.wa.us or a SWR application. The SWR is used in the letting of contracts for such projects as repairs, improvements, remodeling and other public works projects in and around County owned buildings and facilities and for County road construction and maintenance projects.

Contractors and other service providers who wish to be included on the SWR must be a Washington State licensed and bonded Contractor and agree to comply with Washington State Prevailing Wage Law as specified in RCW 39.12. Prevailing Wage Law requires that a Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages and an Affidavit of Wages Paid must be submitted by all Contractors and Sub-contractors that perform any work that is defined as a “Public Work” according to RCW 39.04.010. The County may, upon request, require the Contractor or Sub-contractors to submit certified payrolls.
