The Liberty Bell High School girls’ basketball team ran to another one-sided win last Saturday (Jan. 4) with a 59-19 victory over Bridgeport on the Fillies’ home court.
It was the third consecutive game in which the Lady Lions – whose tight defense creates a lot of scoring opportunities – held their opponent to under 20 points. The win gives Liberty Bell a 3-1 record in league play, 6-2 overall.
Sophomore Jadyn Mitchell led the Lady Lions with a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Junior Sammy Curtis nearly matched that output with 19 points. Senior Hannah Bakke pulled down 10 rebounds.
Liberty Bell hosted Soap Lake in another league contest on Tuesday (Jan. 7). The Lady Lions visit Lake Roosevelt, one of the league’s best teams, on Thursday (Jan. 9), then host another league rival, Oroville, on Saturday (Jan. 11).
