Barns — and an occasional truck — will be the focus of an exhibit at Methow Arts in Twisp.
“The Historic Barns of the Methow Valley,” a photo exhibit of works from local contributors, opens Jan. 9 at Methow Arts in Twisp. The free event is from 5:30–7 p.m. at 204 E. Second St. Light snacks and refreshments will be available.
The exhibit is a collaborative project of Methow Arts and the Methow Conservancy, featuring works by participants in last summer’s photography workshop, led by National Geographic explorer and photographer Ryan Bell.
Contributing photographers, and representatives of Methow Arts, the Methow Conservancy and the Shafer Historical Museum, will be on hand to talk about the artistic legacy of agriculture in the Methow Valley. The artwork is for sale, with proceeds benefitting future photography exhibits at Methow Arts.
The exhibit runs through Feb. 14. For information, call 997-4004 or email amanda@MethowArtsAlliance.org.
