The Okanogan County Electric Cooperative (OCEC) board of directors has selected Travis Thornton to replace Chris Legler, who resigned from the OCEC board in September. Thornton will run for election to the position in April 2020.
Thornton is an attorney with extensive experience in real estate. He is currently a partner with SSL Law Firm, LLP, in San Francisco. He has lived in the Methow Valley since 2001. Thornton also serves on the Methow Watershed Council.
There will be three board positions up for election in April from the normal board rotation, in addition to Thornton’s position. If you are interested in running for any of the positions, contact Michael Murray at mmurray@ocec.coop for more information.
