Winthrop Kiwanis is wrapping up its annual vision and hearing testing, which began in late August. Volunteers have been working with Head Start, the public schools and Little Star Montessori School to insure that all the youngsters in the valley are tested for vision and hearing. Kiwanis purchased specialized equipment to test the hearing of very young children, and the school district recently bought high-tech vision testing goggles.
