The Winter Sale is over — anything left has been moved to the sale room. Now it’s time for the Halloween Sale. Lots of great costumes and decorations. The sale starts Saturday (Oct. 12) so come in an find that spooky costume.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $4 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8.50 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.
The senior center’s Rummage Room is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During Farmer’s Market season, it is also open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call 1-800-635-4391 for additional details.
THURSDAY, OCT. 10: Honey mustard chicken, wild rice, Brussels sprouts, cucumber and tomato salad, apple wedges, whole wheat roll, dessert.
FRIDAY, OCT. 11: Lemon-baked fish, rosemary potatoes, Caribbean vegetables, coleslaw, peaches, cornbread, dessert.
MONDAY, OCT. 14: Pork chops, twice-baked potatoes, green beans, tossed green salad, Waldorf salad, biscuit, dessert.
THURSDAY, OCT. 17: Beef stew, ’49er chopped salad, grapes, whole wheat roll, cereal bars.
FRIDAY, OCT. 18: Spaghetti with meat sauce, Caesar salad, sliced pears, garlic bread, dessert.
