The Missoula Children’s Theatre returns to the Methow Valley this year on Nov. 2 with a production of “Jack & the Beanstalk” that will feature dozens of local students.
Auditions will be at Methow Valley Elementary School on Oct. 28, from 12:40-2:40 p.m. Parts are open for all grades. No preparation is needed. Not all students will be cast, but the show will feature more than 50 local students who will rehearse the week of the presentation, along with directors and actors from the Missoula Children’s Theatre. There is a $25 residency fee for those who are cast. Scholarships are available through Winthrop Kiwanis.
The play, sponsored by Methow Arts, will be at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 2, at the elementary school. Tickets at the door are $8 for adults, $5 for students 18 years and younger, and free for kids under 5. Free tickets are available to clients of The Cove, Room One and the Methow Valley Senior Center at those locations.
