Electric co-op seeks applicants for board

October 2, 2019 by Methow Valley News

The Okanogan County Electric Cooperative (OCEC) seeks applicants for an upcoming vacancy on its seven-member board of directors.

Board member Chris Legler, newly elected in April, is leaving the valley and is resigning, General Manager David Gottula said.

Applicants must be OCEC members in good standing. Those interested should send a resume describing relevant experience and areas of interest by Oct. 25 to board member Michael Murray at mmurray@ocec.coop.

The board will interview qualified applicants and appoint the new director. The position will be up for election by a vote of co-op members in April 2020.

OCEC is a nonprofit, customer-owned utility providing electricity to its members in the Methow Valley.
