Traveling back in time is as easy as a stroll around town during the 43rd annual Winthrop Vintage Wheels Show, scheduled this year for Sept. 7.
The show features vintage and restored automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, travel trailers, pedal cars and bicycles at various locations in town.
Cars, trucks and motorcycles will take over Riverside Avenue, which will be closed west of the four-way stop for the event. Travel trailers will be on display at Pine Near RV Park on Castle Avenue, and antique tractors will be right across the street at the Shafer Museum. You’ll find vintage bicycles parked in front of Rocking Horse Bakery.
All entries in the show will be eligible for awards including Best in Show for each category, People’s Choice Award and awards from Winthrop Chamber merchants.
Early registration for cars, trucks and motorcycles is $10. Register online at winthropwashington.com/event/winthrop-vintage-wheels-show. Entrants can also register for $20 on Sept. 6 from 5–7 p.m. at the Winthrop Barn or on Sept. 7 from 8:30–10 a.m. at the Winthrop Inn on Highway 20, where vehicles will stage for the parade that begins from the inn at 11 a.m.
