Twisp Mayor Soo Ing-Moody was recently elected vice president of the Association of Washington Cities (AWC). The vice president serves on the association’s board of directors and executive committee, and is in line to become president in 2020‑2021.
“I’m excited as ever to continue the work to make Washington’s cities and towns thriving and vibrant,” said Ing-Moody. “As vice president, I look forward to helping raise the visibility of the needs of our cities — no matter the size.”
Ing-Moody was appointed to the AWC board in 2016 and reelected in 2017 and 2019. She joined the Twisp Town Council in 2010 and became mayor in October the same year. She was most recently reelected mayor in 2015. She also serves as chair of the Okanogan Council of Governments.
