Merc presents kids’ summer camp performances this weekend

July 25, 2019 by Methow Valley News

The Merc Playhouse in Twisp concludes its summer camp for kids with performances by the students this week. Admission to the four performances is by donation. They are:

  • “101 Dalmatians, Kids,” by the Musical Theater Camp (3rd- through 8th-grade performers), on Friday (July 26) at 4 p.m. and on Saturday (July 27) at 2 p.m. The adaptation, based on Disney’s “101 Dalmatians,” features characters from that film.
  • “Scenes from Amy Zimmerman’s Metamorphosis,” presented by the Drama Camp (7th- through 12th-grade performers), on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The show features many of the characters that are familiar to audiences from common myths and legends including King Midas, Eurydice, Zeus, Orpheus and Aphrodite.
