Three hurt, two critically, in two motorcycle crashes on Hwy 20

July 24, 2019 by Methow Valley News

Three people were injured last week in two separate motorcycle crashes west of Mazama.

As travelers were descending on the upper valley around 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening (July 19) for the Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival, a Tacoma couple riding a 2019 Harley Davidson Street Glide east on Highway 20 struck a guard rail 15 miles west of Mazama. James Adams, 65 and Gina Adams, 62, were both admitted to Central Washington Hospital. The hospital reported both were in critical condition as of Monday (July 22).

John Still, 61, of North Bend also struck a guard rail while riding east on Highway 20, shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday (July 18), 4 miles west of Mazama. Still, riding a 2012 Harley Street Glide, was taken to Central Washington Hospital with multiple broken bones, according to the Washington State Patrol. He was stabilized and transferred to another facility for further treatment, the hospital reported on Monday.
