This Winthrop-area house, designed and owned by Tom Lenchek of Prentiss Balance Wickline Architects, exemplifies the Methow Valley Home Tour’s theme of “Embracing the Outdoors.” The recent remodel added a screened outdoor bedroom and extended the outdoor living and dining areas.

“Embracing the Outdoors” is the theme of the 18th annual Methow Valley Home Tour, hosted on Aug. 3 by Confluence Gallery in Twisp. The tour will be from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

A Confluence Gallery press release notes that “the Methow Valley celebrates outdoor living. Whether hiking Easy Pass, skiing Tour of the Methow, running over the Suspension Bridge, fishing in Pearrygin Lake, sledding Goat Creek Road, or watching deer eat garden plants, people in the Valley love the outdoors. The Methow Valley Home Tour will reflect that joy.”

A total of nine homes will be featured on the tour, which lasts from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Methow Valley Home Tour annually offers an exclusive peek inside some of the valley’s most beautiful and distinctive homes, and an opportunity to learn about design, architecture and innovative construction methods.

Tickets are on sale at www.brownpapertickets.com. Tickets are $30 per person or $25 per person for carpools of four. Tickets with a tour map will be on sale at Confluence Gallery from July 30 – Aug. 3. Tickets with a tour map go on sale at the Mazama Store on Aug. 3, 9 a.m. – noon. Tickets will also be available at Rocking Horse Bakery on Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. – noon. All ticket-holders must pick up a tour map and wristband at Confluence Gallery or the Mazama Store.

For information, call (509) 997-2787, or visit www.confluencegallery.com.
