Surrounded by family, Elizabeth Senora Hill, 49, Philipsburg, Montana, went home to be with God on July 17, 2019, after her bout with cancer.
Elizabeth was born in Opelika, Alabama, the daughter of Kenneth and Gloria (Bromell) Pugh on Dec. 24, 1969. Elizabeth and Mark celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on July 2, 2019.
Elizabeth was raised in the Methow Valley, a place that was dear to her heart and will always be considered her home.
Elizabeth was very involved with her family, friends and church. She was an avid runner and enjoyed being outdoors. She always made time to make her family and friends feel loved and welcome in her home.
Elizabeth had an energy and rarely sat still. She loved extra hot coffee with extra chocolate syrup. She will fondly be remembered for always chipping in wherever and whenever she was needed. She could often be found (driving a little too fast) taking her girls from one activity to the next. She was very driven by her devotion to her family. Being a mom and wife in a busy household was not a job to her, it was a passion. We will all remember her often for saying loudly, “Mark!”
The family would like to thank the Philipsburg and Anaconda communities for their support during their time of need.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lavelle and Gertrude Pugh, grandparents, Wayne and Adele (Fladeland) Bromell, and her father, Kenneth Pugh. She is survived by her husband, Mark Hill of Philipsburg, Montana, their daughters Amelia and Gretchen Hill, mother, Gloria Bromell, stepmother Sheila Pugh, sister Stephanie (Pugh) Dagnon, brother, Wayne Pugh, father-in-law, Wayne Hill, mother-in-law, JoLynn Hill, brother-in-law, Larry Dagnon, brother-in-law, Brent Hill and his wife, Angie Hill, nephews Dal and Nathaniel Dagnon, Tyler and Troy Hill, and nieces, Leah Dagnon and Kathryn Pugh.
A celebration of life will be held on July 27 at Granite High School gymnasium in Philipsburg, Montana, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Make-A-Dream, www.campdream.org.
To support the Hill family in their time of need, donations can be made at Granite Mountain Bank in Philipsburg to the Elizabeth Hill Donation Account.
