Revelers at the 19th annual Fairy & Human Relations Congress began the first full day of the festival on Friday (June 28) with a fairy circle at Skalitude Retreat Center near Carlton. The Fairy Congress, held June 27 to July 1, included workshops on sacred gardening, connecting with spirits, and “cultivating stillness in loud times.”
Some found stillness by practicing tai chi.
“Bubbles,” (lower right) who lives in Bow, Washington, says she has attended the Fairy Congress for 17 out of 19 years “because it makes my heart sing.”
