Flash Flood Warning issued until 5:15 p.m. on June 27, 2019

The US National Weather Service Spokane Washington has issued a Flash Flood Warning for this area until 5:15 this evening.

Rain gauges have indicated thunderstorms are producing heavy rain across the area and flash flooding is expected in valleys and steep slopes from Lake Chelan to the Methow Valley, including the Crescent Mountain burn scar.

According to the National Weather Service, locations that will experience flooding include…
Twisp, Roads End Campground, South Navarre Campground, Poplar Flat Campground, Gilbert, Mystery Campground, Crater Creek Campground, Black Pine Lake Campground, Carlton, Foggy Dew Campground, South Creek Campground and War Creek Campground.


Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Twisp River.
